Dee and husband Bill (who does the Anthill Castings) built their home on Lapidary Lane in 1985 when construction of the William Holland School was starting. They were among the first volunteers who helped build the school. Dee has served as coordinator of Elderhostel weeks at William Holland and SFMS workshops at Wildacres and William Holland and has been taking classes and making chains since 1995. In this class you will learn basic techniques and patterns shared by many instructors in classes at both William Holland and Wildacres.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

In this class you will learn some techniques and patterns shared by many instructors in classes at William Holland and Wildacres. Unsoldered chains will be made in 22, 20 and/or 18 gauge round and 16 gauge half-round sterling silver or 14K gold-filled wire. Basic tools are supplied on loan or for purchase from the school. Bring your own if you have them.

LAB FEE: $25.00 will include a kit of supplies and instructions for some class projects. Precut rings for additional projects will be available from the instructor. The cost will depend on the number of chains you choose to make. Materials fee on average will be $100.00 to $150.00

TOOLS & SUPPLIES

Bring your own tools - pliers, magnifier etc. You may provide your own SS and GF rings. We will have SS and GF rings available. If you are interested in certain patterns from books you have, please bring those. We will bring our books.
