David has been faceting since
early 1960 and is always learning new technique to pass on to his
students. David has attended William Holland since 1987, and has
taught there since 1992 and has taught at Wildacres since 1986.
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Beginners will learn "meetpoint"
faceting. The first stone will be a round brilliant of quartz material.
We will be cutting some type of quartz (smoky, clear, rose, amethyst,
or some other shade) or laser glass. If you have this type of material,
feel free to bring it, but I will have material if you need it.
LAB FEE: $30.00. Two pieces of
rough and display boxes will cost about $15.00. A disposable polishing
lap (ultra lap) will be required at a cost of about $2.50. You will
need a #7 or #10 Optivior or equivalent. I will have some for sale
if needed; inform me if you will need one; they cost about $33.00.
