Pat is a multifaceted crafter whose interests cover a wide spectrum including cabbing, silversmithing and channel work, beading, lampwork beads, faceting, wirework, and some of the "softer" textile arts such as knit and crochet.
She has attended classes at William Holland and Wild Acres since 1996.
Her interest in gourding blossomed after attending Sunshine Gourd College. She has also taken classes sponsored by Florida Gourd Society and Alabama Gourd Society.
She is a member of the Manasota Gourd Patch and Florida Gourd Society as well as Suncoast Gem and Mineral Society.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

This class will explore chip carving, gouge carving, fretwork and other techniques to create interesting and useful items out of gourds. Students will work with different kinds of gourds and a variety of paints, dyes and finishes and embellishments such as cabs, beads and dried materials. Projects include puzzle gourds, bird houses, baskets and bowls, holiday ornaments, candle holders, oil lamps and more. The list of things that can be made from gourds is limited only by the imagination.

Lab fee: $35. Other materials and supplies will be available for purchase from the instructor.
