Barbera has been making beaded jewelry for the past twelve years and it all began when she accompanied her husband on a business trip to San Diego in 1994. Having time on her hands, she found a bead shop near the hotel that was giving classes and decided that would be an interesting way to spend an afternoon. Little did she know that it would take over her life and become a necessity to continue creating beautiful pieces of jewelry. She has been selling her work since in arts and crafts shows and local galleries in Upstate SC.
