Dan learned the art of jewelry
making over the past 15 years - but feels his real education was
in the making of more than 7,000 fabricated pieces. His work is
sold in galleries and stores throughout North Carolina. He has taught
at William Holland School since 1995 and has also taught silversmithing
and goldsmithing at Wildacres starting in 2002.
CLASS DESCRIPTION
The student will learn beginning
techniques for making southwestern style jewelry using sterling
silver, turquoise, and other stones. The student will learn the
art of overlay-design stamping, design, and use of Turquoise in
designing this jewelry. The students will have a least four projects
to complete.
CLASS FEE - $40, approximate
materials fee is $200 to $300.
Maximum Number of Students: 7
Pre-requisite: It is required
that the student has completed Silver I and II before they will
be able to keep up in this class.
