After retiring from Southern Company in 1998, Janet began taking classes at William Holland School. After various classes, wire became her passion. Janet and her husband, David, have been participating in Gem, Mineral and Jewelry shows since 1988. Janet has made jewelry for their shows for many years. They are also members of Alabama Mineral and Lapidary Society in Birmingham, Alabama. She teaches Wire Wrapping privately in their shop.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Wire and supplies will be furnished for the class projects. If you need an optivisor, you will need to purchase one. Students can expect to learn the basic techniques of wire wrapping using cabochons, faceted stones and donuts. We will make calibrated pendants, uncalibrated pendants, simple rings, bracelets and earrings. You will learn how to cut, measure, straighten and twist wire using neat wraps.

CLASS FEE - $25.00 and the total cost of the class will range from $175.00 to $200.00 depending on the use of Gold Filled or Silver wire plus other material and tools purchased.
